I am a Registered Psychologist and have been working in the school system and private practice in my home province of Nova Scotia for the last 14 years. Now a sport coach, sport parent, and mental performance coach, I enjoy melding the sport world with psychology and performance.

As a former athlete, I played hockey in the NCAA, CIS, New England Prep school, and have competed at the national level, attending the Canada Games. My philosophy as a mental performance coach is the holistic view of the athlete and how this view relates to individual performance. I believe optimizing performance in athletes goes far beyond physical talents - it rather lies in mindset and ability to strengthen mind-body focus during high pressure situations. I also see life skills as the crux of participation in sports - skills that are far reaching beyond the sport season and invaluable in life. Helping athletes create an awareness of how mindfulness relates to their ability to regulate their emotions is equally important to optimize performance.

Through many experiences as a competitive athlete, coach, and parent, I personally and professionally understand the importance of mental health and how it relates to performance and success in sport.  I have a specific passion for helping athletes in hockey and golf; however, I enjoy all aspects of sport life in several different contexts.
