DONNA MCDONAGH | PHD | C.Psych
I am a Registered Psychologist (Ontario) with almost three decades of experience. I work in the area of forensic mental health (federal government) while also maintaining a robust private practice in the areas of trauma, anxiety, and emotion/mood regulation.
My treatment philosophy is eclectic but strongly based in formal Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) training and rooted in solid assessment and evidence-based practice. I incorporated these principles within a general framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have been working with high-performance athletes for several years. As a former athlete (rowing) and a runner, as well as the mother of a competitive dancer, I appreciate the values that sport and competition bring to the enrichment and balance of life.
