Shaunna Taylor | PhD | MPC, CSPA
I am the current Chair of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association and an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia in the High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership program.
I am dedicated to holistic athlete and coach development through my work as the Executive Director of Pacific Sport Okanagan in British Columbia, and serve as Chair of viaSport BC’s Girls and Women Advisory Group. I am also a member of the International Paralympic Committee's (IPC) Women in Sport Committee.
I have been consulting with coaches and athletes from grassroots to the Olympic/Paralympic level for 20 years, involved in athlete and integrated team support for over 8 Major Games cycles. I have a special interest in creating a sport system that promotes holistic athlete development and enables athletes to reach their full potential in and beyond sport.
I earned my doctoral degree in Human Kinetics (Sport Psychology) from the University of Ottawa, and I am a certified counsellor. I maintain a private practice and I am a service provider to nationally-carded athletes through the Canadian Sport Institutes in BC, ON and QC.
